Camp Details

  • DRIVING AND PARKING: Please drive up and be checked in and screened before getting out of your vehicle

    • Designated area for guest parking is located along road as you enter core camp area. Vehicles may be quickly unloaded in turn-around-loop before parking.

  • Cabins: Cabin space is PRIVATE to each family, so you don’t need to worry about sharing! All sides of the cabin have their own bathrooms that include toilet, sink and shower! Bring towels.

  • MEALS: A warning bell will ring 10 minutes before each meal, and again at the stated meal time. Please be prompt. Leaders should designate one table at a time to line up at the buffet. Meals will be served until the food runs out, or for a maximum of 45 minutes. After each meal, we ask our guests to bus dishes to the small kitchen window.

  • DIETARY OPTIONS: A fridge (outside kitchen) and a microwave (in dining room) are available for our guests who have dietary restriction. NO NUTS OF ANY KIND..EVER!!!!

  • DESSERTS & SNACKS: NO NUTS! You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks. Soda, juice and water vending machines are available and put them in the snack shack with your name on it. NO food in cabins.

  • LINENS and OTHER ITEMS TO BRING: Bring your own bedding, towels, soaps, etc. Also recommended, flashlight/batteries, all weather/sturdy footwear, layered clothing. Bathing suits, goggles, life vest, etc. Yoga mat and or beach towel for sound bath. Lawn Chairs!

  • SWIMMING: Non-swimmers must wear a life vest (Provided by parents) and notify staff prior to swimming.

  • AFTER-HOUR NEEDS: Call 831-335-3019 and press #6 when greeting begins. Leave a message with your phone number to page a staff person for an urgent need.

  • QUIET TIME: Please be considerate of others and reduce noisy activity after 10:00 p.m.

  • CABIN POLICIES: Caution: The area above and around the heaters must be kept clear at all times. Food, and beverages, (including candy, chips, soda, etc.), candles, and other flammable substances are not allowed in cabins. Entrance doors should be kept closed to prevent insects and animals from entering. Cabin 4 is wheelchair accessible. If you have disabled guests, please inquire about availability.

  • MEETING ROOM POLICIES: FOOD and BEVERAGES (including candy, chips, soda, etc.) are not permitted in Wichert Auditorium.

  • BLOW OUTS: Overuse of electrical appliances can cause fuses to blow. Do not plug in too many at one time.

  • CRITTER: It is not uncommon to have critters around camp and in cabins. We have seen bees, wasp, scorpions, deer and more. Please check your cabins and bedding each day for safety.

Not Permitted

  • Pets, alcohol, drugs, NUTS, firearms, ammunition, fireworks, skates, scooters, skateboards, and bikes are not permitted on the grounds at any time. See Safety Regulations for additional items. SMOKING:Smoking is permitted on the covered concrete patio area. Smoking/vaping is prohibited in all buildings or cabins. Please remember that a few moments of carelessness could destroy the beauty and usefulness of this site.

What To Bring

  • LINENS and OTHER ITEMS TO BRING: Bring your own bedding, towels, soaps, etc. Bring a WAGON!! Also recommended, flashlight/batteries, all weather/sturdy footwear, layered clothing. Bathing suits, goggles, life vest, etc. Lawn Chairs!!

Reminders: Children aged 4 and up will be with staff. If you have a child 3 and under it will be your responsibility to be with them through the camp. Please remember this is a respite camp, and parents need respite! Please remind children of rules for camp. They should be supervised at all times while they are not with staff. Bring swimsuits and sunscreen for your children.

In light of the ongoing spread of COVID-19, individuals who fall within any of the categories below should not engage in CAFA events and/or other face to face activities. By attending an CAFA event, you certify that you (and all family members) do not fall into any of the following categories:

1. Individuals who currently or within the past fourteen (14) days have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19, which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath among others;

2. Individuals who have traveled at any point in the past fourteen (14) days either internationally or to a community in the U.S. that has experienced or is experiencing sustained community spread of COVID-19; or

3. Individuals who believe that they may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID- 19 or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities or the health care team responsible for their treatment.

DUTY TO SELF-MONITOR: Participants, staff and volunteers agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (symptoms typically include fever, cough, and shortness of breath) and, contact CAFA at support@capadoptfam.org if he/she experiences symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days after participating with CAFA.
